About the instructor

Micah Woods, Ph.D.

Micah Woods, Ph.D., is an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. He currently serves as chief scientist of the Asian Turfgrass Center. Woods earned his bachelor's degree in horticulture, magna cum laude, from Oregon State University, and his doctorate in horticulture from Cornell University. With almost 20 years' experience as a turfgrass manager, scientist and educator, Woods brings a practical scientific perspective to the management of fine turfgrass in Asia. His research results have been published in journals such as Crop Science, Soil Science, Applied Turfgrass Science, and Weed Technology.
