Golf Industry Show Team Day - Fri., Feb. 1
Golf Industry Show Team Day will offer a multitude of opportunities to develop teamwork and leadership skills crucial for the development of each member of the golf course, facility and club management team.
Golf Industry Show General Session
“The Mark of a Leader”
8:30 – 9:30 a.m.
Produced by GCSAA, NGCOA and CMAA
Presented by Doug Keeley
“Life is a story. My life, your life, your
career—it is all a story. If you accept
that it is a story, you have to accept
accountability, because you are writing
the story and you are the central
character in the story.”
With these words, master storyteller Doug Keeley begins a unique journey with his audience into the heart of leadership, with a look at how some of the world’s most successful leaders and brands have changed the world. The journey is called THE MARK OF A LEADER.
THE MARK OF A LEADER is an unforgettable presentation like no other. The program is a treasure chest of inspiring stories about the world’s greatest leaders and brands, and the principles that have made them successful.
The stories use rare images, state of the art video, multimedia, and original music, and are narrated by a live storyteller. They cover virtually every aspect of life, ranging from Apple to Starbucks, Roger Bannister to The Beatles, Sir Winston Churchill to Oprah, Chicken Soup for the Soul to Cirque du Soleil, golf to music.
You will be inspired to think about your role and priorities as a leader, and to improve your leadership skills, with some clear ways to do that. You will be challenged to look at your team and how it is functioning, and the perceptual barriers that are holding you back. And ultimately you will be challenged to look at your story and the mark you are making on your organization and the world around you.
THE MARK OF A LEADER program has gained acclaim from some of the world’s most prestigious organizations, companies, and associations for the powerful and positive impact it has on audiences’ lives, and businesses.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity of a lifetime.

The Disney Institute is pleased to return to the Golf Industry Show Team Day to share the next steps in enhancing the entire golf experience. Golf Industry Show
11:45 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Plan to spend time on the trade show floor with your team during this time where there will be no competing education offered.
Team Solutions Center
As the “town center” on the show floor, the Team Solutions Center will be the central hub and will bring together each member of the golf course, facility and club management team. The Team Solutions Center will provide the ultimate teambuilding experience—the Pit Crew Challenge! Teams of three to five will need to think quickly, work together, coach each other and communicate in an attempt to beat the clock in a simulated stock car pit experience. In the ever competitive marketplace, there is a fine line between first and second place. TrackTime Racing Schools will facilitate the Pit Crew Challenge and will provide practical learning activities that will teach each member of the management team the skills they need to work effectively with each other to renew processes, adapt to new environments, implement skills and maintain a competitive edge.
While you and your team are on the trade show floor, don't miss the other Solution Centers:
