Personalized employment announcement

The best champion for your career and professional image is you. Accepting a new position gives you the opportunity to gain public recognition and establish yourself as a professional at your new facility, as well as in your community.

How to use

Use this press release template to send the news of your appointment to local and regional media. Consider sending the announcement of your position change to the following media:

  • member or facility newsletter
  • state or regional GCSAA-affiliated chapter newsletter
  • sports editor(s) of local and regional newspapers
  • business editor(s) of local and regional newspapers, including business journals
  • state and regional golf association publications
  • GCSAA

Tips:

  • Be sure to address the release directly to the appropriate editor's attention. Call to verify spelling of names and titles.
  • Consider including a recent professional photo of yourself along with the press release. Professional dress in this photo suggests you are well organized and have the self-confidence and skills for your new position.
  • If you have business cards printed with your new title and course information, include them as well.
  • Be sure to forward a copy of your announcement when published to your employer. Not only have you received valuable publicity for yourself as a professional in the golf industry, but also for your employer!

Contact GCSAA's media relations department if you'd like information on whom at national publications to send your release.
