Use this press release template to send the news of your appointment to local and regional media. Consider sending the announcement of your position change to the following media:
- member or facility newsletter
- state or regional GCSAA-affiliated chapter newsletter
- sports editor(s) of local and regional newspapers
- business editor(s) of local and regional newspapers, including business journals
- state and regional golf association publications
- GCSAA
Tips:
- Be sure to address the release directly to the appropriate editor's attention. Call to verify spelling of names and titles.
- Consider including a recent professional photo of yourself along with the press release. Professional dress in this photo suggests you are well organized and have the self-confidence and skills for your new position.
- If you have business cards printed with your new title and course information, include them as well.
- Be sure to forward a copy of your announcement when published to your employer. Not only have you received valuable publicity for yourself as a professional in the golf industry, but also for your employer!
