The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced it is reopening the FY2009 (Oct. 1, 2008-Sept. 30, 2009) H-2B petition filing period. It will immediately accept petitions to bring foreign workers to the U.S. to fill temporary nonagricultural jobs for which there is a shortage of U.S. workers. 25,000 visas are available.
