GCSAA launches online suppliers guide

Access golf course products and services with the click of a mouse.

The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) has added an online suppliers guide to www.gcsaa.org that is a fully searchable comprehensive database of products and services for the golf course management field.

"The GCSAA Golf Course Suppliers Guide fills a void in our industry to assist superintendents, their staff, and others at golf facilities find products and services," GCSAA CEO Mark Woodward, CGCS, said. "It is a great tool that brings together buyer and seller."

Users can search the suppliers guide by keyword, phrase, company name, or product category with the capability to further refine searches by state, zip code, or radius. More than 8,000 companies are already listed.

The suppliers guide also includes a downloadable desktop search application giving industry professionals the ability to search for items directly from a small search window on their desktops - making the search process as convenient and time-efficient as possible. And with Request for Information (RFI) functionality, users are able to contact participating suppliers with a few clicks of their mouse. Whether superintendents are looking for turf seed, turf equipment, or course design services, the GCSAA Golf Course Suppliers Guide will make it simple to find vendors.

Along with the option to purchase a listing, companies can also add a logo, Web site links, the ability to receive requester emails and the ability to have any product, brand name, or ingredient they have on their Web site will come up in a search. Additionally, the suppliers guide makes it simple for companies to highlight their most popular products with the Product Showcase. This feature offers front page rotation of select products that link directly back to the company's Web site. Companies can also purchase specific keywords to optimize exposure in search results.

GCSAA partnered with MultiView to produce the Golf Course Suppliers Guide.
