2007 USGA Green Section TAS internships
The 2007 USGA Green Section Internship Program will provide 15 selected college students the opportunity to travel with Green Section staff members during their Turf Advisory Service (TAS) visits to golf facilities located throughout the nation for one week between May and August.

Begun in 1997, the TAS internship program has welcomed 144 interns in the past. Two current USGA agronomists, Todd Lowe in the Florida region and Ty McClellan in the Mid-Continent region, were once TAS interns.
Information on the 2008 Green Section Internship Program will be mailed to university personnel in September 2007 and available on the USGA Web site.

Farrell joins Bayer ES
Bayer Environmental Science has hired Chris Farrell as a field sales representative in Ohio serving the golf market. Chris will cover northern and south central Ohio. Scott Parker will maintain responsibility for the Cincinnati metropolitan market.
Most recently, Farrell was a contract employee for Bayer conducting field trails on new compounds across the northern region golf market.
Price to oversee New Holland North American sales
Troy Price has been named to the newly created position of Vice President of Sales to oversee the New Holland North American sales organization.
He most recently served as vice president of North American sales and marketing for CNH Capital’s agricultural and construction sales and marketing finance operations. Before that he was vice president of Energy Rentals for General Electric’s North American operations.
Lorenzo Sistino, president of New Holland worldwide also announced that, on an interim basis, he would personally assume the responsibilities of David P. Clarke, former vice president of New Holland Agricultural Business in North America, who is pursuing other opportunities.
Zeba hires Harowitz as southeast regional manager
Absorbent Technologies Inc., the maker of the Zeba brand of starch-based superabsorbent soil amendments, has hired Michael Harowitz sales manage for its southeast region, which includes the states of Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Virginia.
Harowitz comes to ATI via Agriliance LLC, where he was the sales manager for the agriculture and citrus group. Prior to joining Agriliance, he was with Griffin LLC.
