Standard Green Line made from recycled plastic

Keeping in touch with the current trend toward environmentally friendly products, Standard Golf is unveiling its extensive "Green Line" of golf course accessories made from 100 percent recycled plastic in July.  The line will be showcased in an insert that will appear in the July issue of Golf Course Management magazine.

"When we decided to launch this new Green Line, we wanted to make sure that they were products that were superior in quality and design, in addition to being made of recycled materials," Standard Golf Vice President Matt Hurley said.  "All the accessories in this new line have an outstanding eye appeal and are extremely durable.  Green Line accessories will enhance the beauty of a golf course while at the same time reflect a positive image."

Standard Golf’s Green Line is one of the most extensive lines of recycled golf course accessories available with over 250 types and styles of products to choose from.  Products include: water stations, ice chest containers, club washers, shoe cleaners, course benches, trash containers, bag racks, yardage easels, easel clocks, post-clocks, tee markers, yardage markers, divot mix boxes and containers, podiums, broken tee caddies, phone enclosures, range dividers and score card posts.

Made to stand up to tough climatic conditions, Green Line golf course accessories are built to last for years.  They were designed especially to enhance the beauty of a course.

Standard Golf’s Green Line products will be available in July online at www.standardgolf.com or from SG Express 866-743-9773.

Quali-Pro adds Fosetyl-Al 80 fungicide

Quali-Pro has received EPA registration for Fosetyl-Al 80 WDG fungicide. The company says it is a true systemic fungicide that is rapidly absorbed and translocated in both the xylem and phloem to provide protection from tip to root.

"Quali-Pro is pleased to offer the industry a new, high quality formulation of Fosetyl-Al," said Russ Mitchell, Quali-Pro product director. "It not only provides preventative disease control of Pythium and Phytophthora diseases, it stimulates the disease defense mechanisms in plants which promotes vigor and uniform growth in ornamentals and turf."

Fostetyl is well known for its preventative control of Pythium and Phytophthora in ornamentals and bedding plants grown in field nursery, greenhouse, landscaping and conifer nursery situations, as well as downy mildew and fire blight in ornamentals. It also suppresses bacterial blight caused by certain pathovars of Xanthomonas campestris.

By enhancing and stimulating the natural defense mechanisms, Fosetyl-Al 80 WDG, when mixed with other fungicides such as QP Chlorothalonil or QP Ipro 2SE, protects turf from summer stress and winter decline. It also provides preventative control of Pythium diseases, including blight and root rot, and Yellow Tuft. Provides up to 30 days protection from one application.

Massey Ferguson adds muscle to mid-range tractors

The popular Massey Ferguson 5400 series mid-range tractors have new Tier III engines inside and a new look outside.

The 110 and 115 hp models expand the mid-range line and its reputation for rugged durability with the right combination of weight and power to get the job done. The new hood offers mid-range tractor buyers the same serviceability and style as Massey Ferguson high horsepower 6400 and 7400 Series tractors.

The Tier III engines burn cleaner and smarter for greater fuel efficiency. The 4-cylinder, 4.4 L Perkins engine, 4.4 L and 4.9 L SisuDiesel engines and the 6.6 L Perkins engine share multiple advanced technologies. All four engines feature common rail fuel delivery and Electronic Engine Management. Some models are also equipped with waste gate turbochargers and air to air cooling. These features are designed to reduce emissions and deliver higher fuel efficiencies. Tier III engines will be available immediately on all but the Model 5435 and Model 5445, which will be updated in August 2008.
