GCSAA superintendent member Jeffrey Rottier is hosting the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship at Erin Hills Golf Club in Erin, Wis.
GCSAA Class A superintendent Thomas DeGrandi is hosting the Travelers Championship at the TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn.
DeGrandi will also appear "Making the Turn with Peter Kessler" on XM Satellite Radio's PGA Tour Channel (146) at 7:35 a.m. Central, Friday, June 19. DeGrandi will also record an interview with "PGA Tour Live" on the PGA Tour Channel which will broadcast during the event and be posted online at PGATour.com.
GCSAA Class A superintendent Richard W. Slattery is hosting the Wegmans LPGA at Locust Hill Country Club in Pittsford, N.Y.
GCSAA Class A superintendent Paul F. Miller, CGCS, is hosting the Bank of America Championship at Nashawtuc Country Club in Concord (Boston), Mass.
GCSAA Class A superintendent Scott A. Severance, CGCS, is hosting the Knoxville Open presented by Food City at Fox Den Country Club in Knoxville, Tenn.
Clarizio named Oregon superintendent of the year
The Oregon GCSA has named Joseph Clarizio of Arrowhead Golf Club in Molalla, Ore. its Superintendent of the Year.
The award is presented to a superintendent who has done exemplary work in their field, and Clarizio has continuously set a standard by providing the highest quality playing conditions for his membership while serving his local community and the industry.
Clarizio has served on the OGCSA board of directors for six years and has made significant contributions including the Superintendent Invitational Golf Tournament, now a regular Pro-Am event held with the Oregon PGA.
