I need some help setting up a daily assignment sheet for a weekly report. I have some ideas on how to set one up, but the more ideas would be better. I have an assistant that I let do the daily assignments, but by the end of the week there are still things that are unfinished and no extra time for special projects, we are a small crew. I need a weekly report of the daily assignment. If it is in Excel that would be great.

    Steve,

I just checked here at home and I did not find a copy of what I use for a weekly job list.

When I'm back at work I will pull one up and attach it. I do use excel, basically do a daily chore list, along with some extra chores, along with applications I need to make, irrigation repairs and equipment services and repairs as well.

I do have extra jobs, just encase we get done with some jobs early, and also reminders for items that are coming up or that I need to do. We have a small crew as well, so by doing this, it will remind me of some of those little things.

I used to use excel but have switch to using Google Drive. Google Drive is very useful in that you can share documents easily with others, currently my Assistant and I have the application on our phones as well as on our computers and when one updates the other can see it immediately. We do Daily Tasks here as well as I build a Weekly Tasks list as well so as we move through the week he can review what's on our "Weekly Tasks" mostly projects or stuff I see not getting done and he can then fit into Daily Duties if looking for stuff. Find this has help immensly with organization and keeping up with everything.

I am hoping I am successful attaching my list.

I will admit I have a lot of items on our sheet that might not always get done, depends on weather, play, staff, etc. but with the extra list, I kind of look at it like the "Job Jar" in the Hi and Lois cartoon. Also it helps keep me in the loop of what is getting done, since I'm out there too on the sprayer, mower, irrigation repair and the like.

I know their might be some odd job titles, but it fits our course and I understand it perfectly, the hard part is getting the guys to sometimes get what I am telling them, especially the new ones.

Any questions just ask, hopefully it is useful for you, but I understand if it's not, I learned this from my wife about 17 years ago and it's been working for me since.
