Mac, 1-year-old border collie mix, was named the 2026 Dog of Year by voters at the 2026 GCSAA Conference and Show in Orlando. Mac and 14 other dogs are part of the 2026 Dog Days of Golf Calendar, produced by GCSAA and sponsored by LebanonTurf.
Mac's owner is David Kennedy, a four-year member of GCSAA and assistant superintendent at Hyannisport Club in Hyannis Port, Mass. Mac began patrolling the property at just 8 weeks old. Known as the "Chief of the Geese Police," Mac takes his job at the private 18-hole golf course on Cape Cod very seriously.
