Fluoride in effluent water?

Is anyone using effluent water that has previously been treated with fluoride? The city is trying to pass adding fluoride to our water supply, and my hope is in the near future to connect to the effluent system. I was just curious if anyone has used it, any turf and soil related problems? And if so, what was done to correct? Thanks for any help.

I guess I should have added is anyone using the potable water straight from a city tap that has been treated with fluoride? I'm hoping to get into the topic with others that have used either way with fluoride.

You might want to push for them not to do that- a few less cavities isnt worth it

Good question! I read up a bit on fluoride and came up with this

Table 10. Reclaimed water quality regulations for golf course irrigation in Portugal and
    Spain [30,31].
    Constituent
    Portuguese regulation NP 4434/2005
    Spanish regulation
    RD 1620/2007
Recommended Limit (mg/L) Maximum limit (mg/L) Maximum limit (mg/L)
    pH 6.5–8.4 - -
    Conductivity 1 dS/m - 3.0 dS/m
    Suspended solids 60 mg/L - 20 mg/L
    Turbidity - - 10 NTU
    SAR 8 - 6
    Intestinal
    nematode eggs

    Coliform Fecal coliforms

    Tin, Tungsten, &
    Titanium
    - - -
    Vanadium 0.10 1.0 0.1
    Zinc 2.0 10 -
Additional comments in Portuguese regulation: 1. Treatment: secondary (or tertiary), filtration and
disinfection; 2. Disinfection by UV or ozone rather than chlorine; 3. Irrigation method should avoid
reclaimed water contact with public; *: value that can be fixed by the administrative body involved.

The values are recommended and maximums from Portugal and then third is Spain.

It seems Ponderosa pines are very susceptible to fluoride toxicity and are used as indicators.

The Fl values are 1 mg/L recommended 15 max in Portugal and are not evaluated in Spain. I saw many references to a recommended 1 mg/L for golf course and other horticultural uses from Florida and EPA.

What is the Fl in your water in ppm´s or mg/L ( same )?
