On Jan. 6, the EPA published their new changes to the chlorothalonil label, and due in part to the advocacy efforts of GCSAA and its members, the Registration Review Interim Decision (ID) was significantly different from the label changes that were proposed in 2023.
When the EPA’s Preliminary Interim Decision on thiophanate methyl was issued in Spring 2023, GCSAA and its members were concerned about the proposed changes to the label, which included a significant reduction to the rate and number of applications annually.
On Nov. 15, 2024, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas struck down the overtime pay regulation that the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) finalized in April 2024.
There is currently a bill in the New Jersey Senate, SB 217, that would enact a ban on the use of 2-stroke blowers and restrict the use of 4-stroke blowers to just a few months per year.
