Lawrence, Kan. (Nov. 18, 2025) – The Rocky Mountain Golf Course Superintendents Association (RMGCSA) has generously donated $5,000 to the GCSAA Foundation, the philanthropic organization of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), to support the new Col. John Morley Centennial Campaign. GCSAA will turn 100 on Sept. 13, 2026, and it has embarked on a Centennial fundraising campaign to establish a new endowment honoring GCSAA’s founder, Col. John Morley, with a goal of raising $1 million to fund new and innovative initiatives for the next 100 years.

The Rocky Mountain GCSA is supporting the Centennial Campaign at the Chapter Legacy Leader Level, which recognizes donations of $5,000 or more. With this donation, the RMGCSA joins the Foundation’s Platinum Tee Club, which recognizes organizations that donate $5,000 or more annually to the GCSAA Foundation. The GCSAA-affiliated chapter is also recognized at the Statesmans Club Level in the Foundation’s Cumulative Giving Program for donors that have contributed between $10,000 and $24,999 since 1987.

“GCSAA thanks the Rocky Mountain GCSA members for their generosity and support of the Centennial Campaign. Their commitment plays an important part in the ensuring the future of the game and, in turn, the golf course management profession,” said GCSAA CEO Rhett Evans.

The Rocky Mountain GCSA is one of the 94 GCSAA-affiliated chapters in North America. Founded in 1936, it remains dedicated to serving its members and improving golf course management practices through education, sharing knowledge and networking. It continues to unite and advance Rocky Mountain area golf course superintendents by sharing knowledge, providing education and improving golf course management practices.

“The Rocky Mountain GCSA is honored to contribute to the Col. John Morley Centennial Campaign in recognition of GCSAA’s remarkable 100-year legacy,” said Gary Leeper, Executive Director of the Rocky Mountain GCSA. “Our association has always been dedicated to supporting education, research and professional advancement in golf course management. This donation reflects our continued commitment to strengthening the future of the profession and ensuring that the next generation of superintendents is equipped to meet the challenges and opportunities ahead.”
