   Good afternoon,
   
   
   My Board of Directors has decided to do away with our 10 gal Igloo coolers and replace them with stations provide 8-12 oz bottled water. Unfortunately, a lot of the details were not collected prior to the decision. Although I'm excited about not having to refill 10 gal coolers everyday, I feel there will likely be many new challenges with this change. So I'm hoping some of you can shed some light.
   
   
   For those of you that are supplying bottle water on the golf course:
   
   
   How many bottles/round do you plan for?
   
   Who is responsible for stocking the bottle station with water and ice?
   
   What kind of 'cooler' setup works best?
   
   Who's your water source? What's you recommended on hand inventory?
   
   
   Any other tips, tricks, experiences would be greatly appreciated.

   Dustin,
   We have several coolers from Landmark made up of Rinowood. ( http://www.rinowood.com/products/ice-ch ... w1800h.php ) Ours are 72 quart and they go all the way up to 200quart. We have 4 stations (coolers) on the golf course, not including available water at the restrooms. Our staff fills them every morning of the week and also refilling Mon-Thursday. Friday-Sun our staff is gone by 11. We buy the bottle water by the pallet and usually keep 2 pallets on hand. (A local distributor) Once we get down to about 3/4 of a pallet left, we order more. I would say we go through 250 bottles a day in our busy season. Make sure each cooler station has a LARGE trash can, or at least the following hole.

   This might sound cheesy for you posh club guys, but if you partner with a local bottler, they can sell the label to a local business. Helps defray the cost, and when done this way I've seen the price get down to around $.05/bottle.

   A private Club I was at in Asia we put 2 on each golf car for free and then had a 1/2 house each side and proshop that sold them at a low cost (but profit, small). Worked well and wish I could do that here we are 95% Golf car. They like the coolers and for me they are a pain.

   We have the small 8oz bottles from Ice Mountain. They are located at 6 areas throughout the golf course in Landmark Coolers made of Rhinowood. Clubhouse staff is responsible for filling the stations. A run is usually done in the morning to refill and add ice, then a few more runs depending on weather and play to replenish. Seems to work our although I pick up a ton of them that haven't even been opened. I also have to communicate to the water guy to take different routes, like to drive same path and without cart path creates wear. Best of luck!
