    Hello,

I am currently studying a certificate in Turf-grass Management at a distance from Spain and I'm looking for the possibility of a U.S. training, I am currently doing a intern or similar work like a Second Assistant in Spain on a club that has two fields each other with Bentgrass and Bermudagrass. I learned a lot but my superintendent recommends me to undertake a training in the U.S. that you can advise me? I will have trouble getting a VISA training? superintendent to some reading this would want to have in training someone who speaks Spanish and English?

    Thanks for your time.

    Javier,

Contact Mike O'Keeffe at okeeffe.1@osu.edu . Mike administers the Ohio Program sponsored by Ohio State University which brings foreign nationals to the US to train on golf courses around the country. See the link below for more information.

Good luck in your pursuit of education.

Contact David Gomez, the agronomist for the Royal Spanish Golf Federation. David and I went to school at Michigan State together. David came over on a scholarship from Senor Patino, but he may be able to help.

Though i didn't do the program with Mike at Ohio many of my friends over the years have done . I know all the guys really enjoyed the experience and they had the chance to work on some fantastic courses with great supers!!
Another good contact is Donal Kearney in Ireland. He organizes this kind of internship as well. His email is kearneydonal@gmail.com
