I would like some feedback from the private course guys out there. What is your budget in terms of percentage of the dues line. Just to clarify, If your club has an annual dues line of 1 million and your budget is 700,000, then your number would be 70%. I need some data for a greens committee member. Our dues line is around $1.1MM, so guys around this number would be great.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Real close to your 1.1 and we're at 48%...

Want to add that golf dues alone no longer cover the maintenance budget as they used to 15+ years ago...

I hope I am reading all these correctly and just to make sure I am clear. I need your percentage of just the monthly dues. No cart fees, food service revenue, event revenue, tournament revenue. Just the monthly dues.

Thanks for all the help guys and I would love to get some more numbers.

Mine is total annual revenue... no monthly dues at my club. That's been our problem... we had more than enough golfers to cover maintenance with golf dues alone fifteen years ago. My Board still hasn't grasped the concept that things have changed... and that we can only cut the budget so far, before we won't have something that resembles a golf course!

Yeah, that is what I am trying to get at. The greens committee member I am trying to get information is for is fighting for me. We have a clubhouse and restaurant that is entirely too large for our membership and we are looking for some numbers to justify downsizing. Right now there is just a lot of finger-point going on as to which department is at fault. My thinking is, if the restaurant can't operate on its own (without the help of dues) it needs to be looked at. Just wanting some data to back it up. For reference we are at just below that 66% number. Dues are around 1.1m and my budget is 660,000
