Just wanted to lighten things up a bit, pondering why is it that the local radar always seems to be down for service when the weather is bad? So the question is, How many different weather sites do you have saved to your favorites list? I have seven which I use quite regularly.

www.wunderground.com with my own, on-site weather station.

We also use www.weather.com and www.intellicast.com.

I use http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca . I have the option of a few radar sites to follow the weather coming in up here in Cambridge Ontario, This site has been more accurate than the local weather network site .The pro shop has the radar up so when golfers call we can tell them when it should stop raining.

It won't help most of you any, but we have a nice one that is maintained by a guy in our IT Department.

I use http://www.noaa.gov/ this is a great place to start. Just plug in your zip code and then you can zero in on your area on the local map and get a pretty in pin point forecast. I also read the forecast discussion for my area to get a idea on just what the forecasters are thinking, it gives you a better idea of the probability of the forecast changing. There are all sorts of radar available too. Its a great resource. Yesterday I received by email the latest forecast on the La Nina pattern which they will use to make the next 30-90 day outlook. A great site to explore during slow times.

At the risk of being too commercial, I have attached a link to the PACE Turf weather service video. We use Weather Underground for the raw data and the push the data through a few models. All of the models are public so you can do the same thing yourself if you want to. The models are the ones we used in the GCSAA IPM Template. We are trying to make the use of weather data more accessible and customized for turf managers.
