I am going to give you my personal secret on how to get the telemarketers to stop calling you.
I have been doing this the last year when I am call by a live person on the other end and it has worked completely 100%
next time you get the call, be polite and after they make their opening speach ask them to hold on for just a second, then tap your phone hard enough to make them think somethig may have happened and then go back on the line and tell them "ok, by law I have to inform you the rest of this conversation is being recorded". They will pause after they hear this, then ask them how they got your phone number since it is on the do not call list. They will not have an answer and will either hang up on you or they will apologize to you and then hang up. if they are still on the line then your next answer is to inform them that you now have their phone number and a recorded copy of the call that you will use if you ever get another call from them again.
In most cases it nevers gets much past the part where you inform them the call is being recorded.
They will not know you are bull crapping them.
