Well it finally happened, My BOD bit the bullit and finally sent our GM/Pro down the road. After the last 2-3 years of pure hell and bad finiancial decisions he is gone and we get to start trying to fix the issues he brought up. It is amazing at how much better everyone feels when they come to work now, even the members are completely happy for once. I am looking forward to a fresh start with a new Golf Pro (they will not have a GM anymore) and working towards getting our membership back up. Most everyone on here has heard me from time to time vent over the idiot with his oversized ego. My biggest issue with him was that he could never get over the fact that he had no control over myself or my department and made it a point to tell certian members that he was the only GM in the nation that did not have control of the golf course and Superintendent. This was ashamed though because I had always told him that I did not want to be the most important person on the crew, only the most valuable. Power never thrilled me and I have never wanted to be the GM because I just do not want to dedicate my whole life to just working at this club 24 hours a day.

I hope my BOD gets a very people oriented Golf Pro because after the last guy they deserve to be treated better.

Kudo's to you Sir..........My course hired this Dip S#&* too.....He's been here for almost 3yrs....He can't even hardly break 80.....His Golf swing is so bad he can't teach but verbally....He has run off so many people it's not even funny......He says he has a Major in finance and a minor in math.....He told me last year he owes the IRS 7,000 bucks...this year it's 15,000.....Looks like he didn't read you should pay your sales tax first before you pay yourself..... He's got enough rope ..... I'm just waiting:)

Well things have gone really great now that he is gone. We are starting to get backlash from him in ways of rumors about a certain worker doing sexual things to certain board members to keep her job. These things or totally false and he will get his due when they finally catch back up to him. Now we have to go through the long process of fixing all of his blunders while he was an acting GM. But we are starting to get a few members back that had promised they would return once he was gone. I am actually looking forward to working with a new Golf Pro if that can be believed!
