Good morning,
Besides the obvious suggestion that'll come to everyone's mind, I am looking for suggestions for deterring grackles and redwing blackbirds. We have VERY robust population of each species attacking staff, members and stealing food from plates. The main challenge is that the environment that the birds are occupying is a steep, brushy shoreline that is approx 100 feet wide and 250 yards long. We are currently implementing the following control efforts:
We are contracted with a nuisance control company that searches for nests.
Dummy Owls and Hawks
Small area ultrasonic devices
Researching Falconers
Has anyone seen success with the large area ultrasonic devices? Any other suggestions or recommendations to consider?
