Once Mr. Putin starts installing these on restrooms in Syria, President Obama will feel his leadership challenged.
And something tells me that's a 'red line' Putin wont cross...

Been on the college visiting tour with my son. This past week we visited a school with this prominently displayed. The school could have saved a lot of money on print had they merely placed a sign on the doors simply reading "Restroom". Boom! All bases covered. I can only imagine the number of meetings required to approve this sign.

My favorite part is "...or ability".

There's no admiration for ol' Vlady. Rather astonished embarrassment of "our" fine selection.

Though many do not like it, the people have spoken. Unlike in Russia....

The bathroom is another matter, though.

It sounds like somebody has an issue with gender-inclusive restrooms.
I thought, as a nation, our 'prince-of-peace' moved us pass that??

Tell me that some jock on a dare from his buddies or after a little drinking in the frat house for breakfast isn't going to decide he is a gal for the day just to go in and think he is funny! I am sure most that have daughters wouldn't find it as amusing as the jock. Yea, old Vlad is quite the guy. I am sure we can all trust a career KGB guy to do what is right for the world!

I'm curious on the restroom sign, is it a one person restroom similar to family restrooms? If it is, what's the big deal? I can see Clay's point, it is a restroom.

I can only guess that it is signed like to if there are other restrooms nearby giving people options. Of course the one option I care about depends on how bad I have to go and which takes care of that issue first.

I assumed that it was a coed bathroom. That's the sort of thing that you would find in an institution that is more concerned with political correctness than in teaching critical thinking skills. That's what my "Ivory tower" remark was all about.

It was a single restroom. A "restroom" sign would have perfectly identified the purpose of the room but this particular institution of higher learning felt the need to welcome the masses into and onto the throne.

Hey if the masses are paying the bill? Welcoming more people means more money? That is why I don't give businesses a hard time about press one for English, they are serving their customers.

We're talking about a restroom. If a person, regardless of gender identity, had a moment of human urgency and saw a sign that read "Restroom" they would not stand there and wonder, "hmmm, should I stand here and pollute my pants or go on in?"

Heaven forbid we just put up a sign that says "Restroom". We must ensure that we commit no "microagression" against anyone who is so bloody sensitive that they may take offense.

As an arm less person, I take great offense to that comment. I have no control of my handicap.

As for often time being legless, I take full responsibility

I know you guys are having fun with this, but I had my left leg amputated below the knee on Aug. 26th. I am waiting for clearance from my surgeon to be weight bearing so I can relearn to walk with a new prosthesis. I have learned to appreciate a clean handicap available restrooms since I rely on a wheel chair at present. Back in early August I would never have thought I would have been in this position, but blood clots and A-Fib are not a good combination. Do everyone a favor and check your restrooms on the golf course. Have good solid grab bars and keep the place clean. Your older members will also appreciate the effort.
