Notice how it declines rapidly when the dems take over congress in 2007 and then it finally goes above positive when the repubs took over the house in 2010. Just saying

Andy, I was going by your comment that "Anybody can twist a statistic", which Dennis stated that the job situation turned around in 2010 when republicans took control of the house, yet Kurta is showing the rebound as to when President Obama took office in Jan. 2009. (What Dennis failed to look at closely was the job turnaround was back in late 2009, the 2010 election happened in Nov. 2010, and those people took office in Jan. 2011. Both Dennis and Steve were claiming victory so to speak.

As for the manhood statement, I don't know if you have been following the thread in "Talking it Over" where Dennis stated that men are loosing their manhood because they tell people what they want to hear, especially our women folk, who happen to be wearing beach attire that is not flattering. Here I was equating your comments as a way for both sides to feel good about themselves, since you didn't really show you were taking a position one way or another. It was my attempt at humor, which some people might not get, especially if they aren't following another thread.

Hopefully I don't find myself unfriended on Facebook when I get home, I know I've got Jr. not liking me since I was not helpful with his lift table. I guess I won't send him a friend request.

    Oh Mel,

I was just busting your chops. I wasn't following the other thread, but picked up on the humor. Just using my Microsoft Paint editing skills(or lack thereof).

I could really care less about the political aspect of this post. Just wanted to show that stats could be skewed to go either way.

Battle is the most magnificent competition in which a human being can indulge. It brings out all that is best; it removes all that is base. All men are afraid in battle. The coward is the one who lets his fear overcome his sense of duty. Duty is the essence of manhood.
    George S. Patton

    huh?

Why am I not surprised you didn't get that? Kurta does tend to be overly cerebral at times, which I believe explains your "huh?".

And I would agree with you that trying to make people "feel good" shows a complete lack of leadership. That is why I have no qualms about stating that you are absolutely certifiable, I'm pretty sure you're on Allen West's "secret" list, and both your spelling and grammar are atrocious. Wow, I just hit that out of the park. Just.....like......you!

Jeff, asking me if i'm still in high school is something a kid or an adult lacking maturity would do. And i'm sorry if my typing is not up to your standards. Been away with work. Sorry, Dennis, that I didn't explain myself better. "what economy" was referring to you totally nailing both manhood and leadership using a Patton quote. It was economical of you. Do you follow?

I've found myself looking up more and more lately on the forum. And Jeff, you could have done better in my opinion

Skitt's Law is an adage in Internet culture that originated on Usenet. Its precise wording is a matter of debate, but its general intent is that someone who corrects another's grammar or spelling mistake is bound to make such a mistake in the very post that makes the correction. In one phrasing, "Spelling or grammar flames always contain spelling or grammar errors."

Some view the law as a curse. Many cases could be explained through the psychoanalytical concept of parapraxis, or Freudian slip: writers who are over-anxious to assert themselves by correcting other people's mistakes express their own repressed insecurity by committing similar mistakes themselves.

The term Skitt's Law appears to have been coined by G. Bryan Lord, posting to Usenet as Perchprism, in a post in October 1998 to the newsgroup alt.usage.english, in reference to a poster using the nickname Skitt.[1] The original wording was, "The mistake you're correcting in another's post will appear in yours."

Similar laws are known by a variety of alternate names; in several cases, the law was coined independently by people with no knowledge of previous coinages. Alternate names include:

Bell's First Law of Usenet (Andrew Bell in alt.sex, May 15, 1990): "Bell's First Law of USENET: Flames of spelling and/or grammar will have spelling and/or grammatical errors."[2]
Hartman's Law of Prescriptivist Retaliation (Jed Hartman, April 1998): "Any article or statement about correct grammar, punctuation, or spelling is bound to contain at least one eror."[3]
Tober's Lor (in the Usenet group uk.local.birmingham, 1998, after T. Bruce Tober who postulated it)
McKean's Law (lexicographer Erin McKean, 1999)
Gaudere's Law on the Straight Dope message board (2000)
Naruki's Law in the User Friendly forums
    Greenrd's Law on Kuro5hin (2002) [4]

One Usenet participant, Eric Kehr, jokingly referred to it as Merphy's Law (sic)

There should be a period after the word "opinion". Punctuation is important. For example, if I were to write "Bite me!", the exclamation point would indicate a definitive feeling about your opinion(.) And "stupid Canadian........", would be an example of an aposiopesis. Look that up, you.........

I don't understand the reference, Mister Jeff

An [size=150">aposiopesis[/size"> (play /ɛˌpiːziːˈɒtəmiː/), also known as perineotomy, is a surgically planned incision on the perineum and the posterior vaginal wall during second stage of labor. The incision, which can be midline or at an angle from the posterior end of the vulva, is performed under local anesthetic (pudendal anesthesia), and is sutured closed after delivery. It is one of the most common medical procedures performed on women, and although its routine use in childbirth has steadily declined in recent decades, it is still widely practised in many parts of the world including Latin America, Poland, Bulgaria, India and Taiwan.
