Just wondering what everyone is thinking about the big vote going on in Wisconsin today?

Not knowing enough about it, I'm not really commenting about it except for what I hear on these two issues.
    1. Is it true there was right leaning groups really sending out voting reminders with the wrong polling places and date of the election? Those people ought to be prosecuted on fraud charges in my opinion. If I'm wrong about that let me know.
    2. All the outside of the state money to help with the republican candidates? Is that true? Is that happening on both sides?

Any thoughts on how this all turns out? What does it mean for 2012?

    Thanks, Mel

I don't know about those items Mel, but I do know it is a war against the middle class. I also know there is no way for the right to win. As long as we have a democracy, hungry people will eventually vote with their stomachs.

You may want to rethink that...

Huge union dollars came in from around the country and it wasn't to help the republicans!

Sandy you answered one of my questions, money came from outside to help the democrats. Did money come in from outside to help the republicans? My guess on that would be yes as well?

Didn't the republicans finance "fake candidates" to run against the democrats that were running for the recall election? What the heck is going on there? What are these people, and I mean both sides getting for the return on their donations? If people and groups have that kind of money to throw away in this economy we might as well just tax them, at least it would help on the revenue side. It's not like they are creating jobs with it....well I guess political consultants are employees, I guess the advertising money is keeping people working?

I am really getting disgusted with the whole thing.

Mel, I do know that some conservative talk shows were encouraging listeners to help out in Wisconsin to combat the money the unions were putting in. Shoot, our local public employee unions were taking up collections for the recall. Of course our public employee unions recently hit a new low by putting out tv and radio adds claiming the identity theft was occurring because of the petitions to address the out of control retirements in San Diego city positions. I don't know anything about republicans running bogus candidates. That is right out of Harry Reid's Las Vegas play book. I know the dems have run people claiming to be from the tea party in order to siphon votes from the legitimate conservative candidate but I have never heard of conservatives returning the favor!
