Did John Boehner finally grow a spine? Anyone catch his retort to the reporter's question about the Heritage group not supporting the new budget deal?

On another note, what are everyone's thoughts?

The one good thing that came out of it, it seems both sides learned to compromise, the other parts, not knowing all the details, I don't mind seeing federal employees pay another 1.4% toward their pensions, especially if they are seeing the occasional cost of living increase, but I can understand those on the low end, working in parks, security ect. what that small percentage might do to their tight budgets. Understand that goes to military as well, and I would prefer to not see them have to pay it, but I see the idea of treating them all the same. I would have like to have seen some tax revenue changes, but maybe now with this freeing up time from going from crisis to crisis will allow them to maybe work on the tax codes, eliminating some deductions, while possibly lowering the tax rate. Glad to see the increased infrastructure spending, that should put people to work. I know the cries for smaller government, and where that can be done I would favor it, but there needs to be caution as government spending is a big part of the economy. If private firms want to take on some of the needs, like the space program, the medical research then let them.

Probably the biggest problem with government spending is we all feel there are different priorities on what they should concentrate on.
