The reason that jobs get outsourced on a large scale is very simple. Anyone can understand it.
American buyers are not committed to buying American. If every time each of us went shopping we demanded products that were made in the USA there would be no outsourcing of American jobs. It is simply because Americans prefer to get more and cheaper goods, than to buy American made products.
Mitt Romney is not the devil who took your job. Your neighbors did, and to a large extent most of us are all guilty of the same. It isn't the fault of "anti-American, rich, scumbag corporate owners". These individuals are beholden to their shareholders to deliver what the shareholders want, which is a return on ther investment. And again by and large investors don't really care how those returns are generated. When is the last time you bought the "made in america" mututal fund? You didn't, because it doesn't exist, because nobody cares about it. All they care about is their return.
If you could get a 30 percent return on an investment that utilized Chinese labor 9 out of 10 would jump on it in a heartbeat vs. a "made in America" investment returning 4 percent. Stop blaming the rich fat cats. The ones shipping American jobs overseas are Americans.
In some oddball cases jobs leave the country for other reasons, but by and large, it's because Americans don't buy American products.
