The NRA convention from last weekend didn't get anyone fired up? With that speaker line-up they had, with Wayne LaPierre, half gov. Palin, Glenn Beck, Nugent, Senator Cruz. I was looking out my window waiting for the government troops to march up and down my street looking for guns to take away after listening to them.

Wondering others thoughts. Quite honestly I wouldn't want that line-up touting something I feel strongly about, no more then some of the left wing people either.

Jon Stewart had a great piece on his show Monday about it. I'll try to link it when I get home from work today.

I can see the others you mentioned being polarizing and controversial but how does Sen. Cruz fit that mold? He seems to be a very straight shooter that is serious about the Constitution and states his facts clearly. Other than the press and the dem operatives trying to damage his and the neurosurgeons reputations, it seems pretty feeble so far. They both seem to be the type of people we need in government service.

    Sandy,

I was taking some of his comments about smaller government and government wanting to take guns and he was fighting that, yet he is the government. I think if you catch the excerpts from his speech at the convention that I saw, especially those on the Stewart show.....I know probably out of context. And it could be that's how I interpreted it, and maybe also lumped him in with the others. But he sure seemed to be using fear tactics, in my opinion.
