Saw this information on Yahoo news last week. I thought about it today and my question is, "How are they getting this oil to the refineries now and where are those refineries?"

And the reasons I posted this in the politics thread...."If they are already getting their product to the refineries, why do we need the Keystone pipeline?"

Another question I just thought of, Texas is the biggest producer and there are all the refineries down there. Where does the Alaska (who just slipped to # 3, maybe if their former Gov. hadn't quite before her job was finished? I know throwing stones) oil go to get refined?

Mel I have no idea what the refinery capactiy of North Dakota is........is may be zilch. But the country has a 100,000 + miles of pipelines that probably send it south to Texas or Louisiana where refineries are a dime a dozen. Most of these pipelines have contracts on moving oil and someone cannot just say 'hey buddy I got some oil I need to get to Texas".........the answer will probably be, good luck doing that. Scott can probably google it for you and perhaps pull up a video we can watch and then we'll know for certain.
