    One Question on Obamacare;

    Have any of you had your insurance taken away and did you get another type? Did it cost you more or less money. Is the plan better than your old one. I am just curious.

    I could get insurance as a pensioner from the municipality where I worked for 12 years. Otherwise I could not get insurance due to complications from a serious car accident. The insurance from the ACA marketplace is about 40% the cost of my alternative and equivalent in coverage. The ACA has worked out well for me.

    I may live in a shell but do not know one person who has had their insurance cancelled.

    I think a lot of folks will retire when they realize how much health insurance under ACA can cost. This should be good for the young. I would have never gone into the golf industry the way these younger folks have. I had to have a head job within two years of graduating to support my family!

    I have only heard of one person, my cousin's wife having hers cancelled. She was not very happy about it. Her husband is a small business owner (plumber) he has insurance through his company that he offers to his employees. Don't know many specifics, such as what does he pay, what percentage of his employees does he pay or anything like that. Don't know if his went up or if it already met the new guidelines (can anyone tell me does all insurance policies have to meet the new guidelines regardless of the business size?), but he doesn't have to provide it I don't think, his business is good but not that big.

    You have never said anything nice to me and this is rather obtuse. I do not follow what you mean.

    I know of friends and family that lost insurance the first of the year. All are small businesses that have ended their coverage.(not insurance cancels) My niece in California went with Blue Cross. Guy in Las Vegas gave up on the gov. website. A 59 year old that was very excited about O-Care lost his at his main work on the first.. To put it mildly he isn't to excited anymore about the governments ability to handle his needs as affordable.

    I personally do not know anyone with AIDS. So I suppose all those millions who have died and are afflicted are right wing BS too. Eh, Scott?

    I will lose coverage due to golf course not offering insurance as of March 1. I will probably not get insurance until it is needed. Washington State has its own exchange and it looks like it will cost me just under $1000. per month to insure me and my wife. That is with a $5000. deductible per person.
