    Greetings,

We are having problems identifying what is causing hydraulic fluid to overflow out of the tank to our Toro 5510. The leak detector has been changed within 2 years. Is it possible for a leak detector to fail within 2 years? Not sure where to start.

    Thanks in advance.

We've had to change the leak detector in our 5610's a couple of times. One machine in particular is on its third one. This machine is less than 4 years old.

But, If your fluid is overflowing, that would tell me it is overfilled. Toro has specific instructions when filling the fluid after changing a leak detector. I can't remember what exactly it is, but your service rep should know. But if you haven't changed it in two years...that shouldn't be the cause.

For filling the 5010 series mower with the leak detection you have to use the ACE handheld tool to set the hydraulic level.
