    Hello,

First time posting here. I was hoping someone had some insight into the most efficient (easiest?) way to check mower RPM's (if helpful, Toro 3050 and 3150 triplexes, B&S 18hp 2 cylinder engine). I've asked around and have not been able to find a reliable/recommended method. Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks,
    James

Infrared tach . Put reflective tape on the fan screen or what ever is spinning directly off crankshaft . Run , point and read . Should be able to find on one cheap .

You can also use an inductive with a tach, clip it on to one spark plug wire and make sure it's set to 4 stroke.
would also work with any tach set to 4 stroke it doesn't matter how many cylinders there are.

What is the factory number "no load" full throttle RPM and idle RPM for a Toro 3150, 3100 or 3050 with B&S 18HP recommendation supposed to be?
