I'm looking for a set of Jacobsen reels to use as tee reels and/or sand reels, I am running GK IV+ and have found a set of GK II reels, old school 4 bolts on the motor style. Does anyone know what work has to be done and parts replaced to use these reels on a GK IV+? Thanks!

62227 gk4 late 90's will work as the hyd motor has mounts for four bolt or two bolt cutting unit drive flange

Not sure if the + has the same utility, quick look at the hyd motor will tell you. You could also convert the four bolt flange on the cutting unit to a two

Yes two of reels are the same just change the both sides bearing housing if using Quick Attach and get the counter balance weight for the opposite side. The gk2 yolks are not the same you can fabricate basket hangers or just use the old gk2 baskets. you will have to get one new or used reel to put in the gk2 frame so the motor drives off the same side just like the gkiv.

Won't be running baskets for tees. So the bearing housings on both ends of the reel will have to be changed over to the new style? I was hoping to get away with only changing the end that the motor bolts to.

    Thanks for the help.
