Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the middle cutting lower/raise to prevent green collar scalping? Timing of the front cutting units.

    Bob,

There is a plate orifice I believe on the return line from the lift cylinder between where the line connects and the 90 that goes into the cylinder. That orifice controls the drop speed. Without consulting JD service, I'm not sure if there are different sized ones to change that speed of lowering/raising.

    Hope that helps Boss!!

I believe in the parts breakdown they call it a "plate." I'll ask my mechanic on Monday. You can go to jdparts.com for parts breakdowns.

We were actually in your area last weekend for my nephews wedding in Kingsburg and drove down 400 a couple times right past KRGCC and saw how high the water was then. Haven't seen that in some time.

I found the orfice in the parts breakdown, John Deere is sending me an orfice. I have to disconnect the hose to see if it was installed, when the unit was setup.
