John Deere 1445 Cancel The title field is required!

   Hey everyone I am currently running into an issue with a 1445 John Deere with a Yanmar 3tnv82a-D Diesel model engine. The issue that I am having is when I go to start the machine up it starts up but then within 20-40 seconds it just dies. Sometimes it will blow out a big puff of white smoke and other times it will just start sputtering and then cut out. I have replaced both spin on Fuel Filter as well as the Fuel sediment bowl/filter. I have checked/replaced the Fuel solenoid with a known good one, I have also replaced the Fuel Relay with a known good one, as well as replacing the Air filter both primary and secondary with a brand new one. Also I have turn the fuel injection nuts on each fuel injector to make sure that there is not any air in the fuel lines. I am running out of ideas as to what it could be. Any help or suggestions that you guys could offer that would be greatly appreciated, sense I do not have the money/ time to take this machine out of service right now to send this into the dealer to have them take a look at it.

   Have you checked your fuel pump? I just had a Lastec do the same thing it was a bad pump. Good luck, Ron.

   See i was also starting to think that as well, but the only thing is, is if it was the fuel pump i shouldn't be getting any fuel to the fuel injectors then right? Or it is still working just not at a %100 and sending enough fuel to the engine to keep it running, and just enough to get it started?

   Check this part TCA12637 Fuel Pickup
   Pull the tube out of your tank and check for an obstruction or plugged screen on the bottom of that tube. Watch your fuel water separator and see if fuel is being drawn down and not replaced

   I was thinking the same as Mike, but also check your fuel to see if it has gas in it. we had a guy dump some gas in a diesel and it was supporting and smoking pretty bad to the point of stalling out. Drained it out, new filter and all was fine. Worth checking, and a good sign will be the diesel on you fingers, it will dissipate instead of staying oily.

   Mike and Henry thank you guys both for the help! That was the issue took that line out and that filter was most definitely clogged with crap and like you said was restricting just enough to not send that right amount of fuel. I have had it running for about 2 hours now and the issue hasn't come back up so I am keeping my fingers crossed that that was all it is. Can't thank everyone enough for there help!
