MultiPro Flow Meter Cancel The title field is required!

   We have a Toro 5700 that is not reading any flow on the computer. Could this most likely be a bad flow meter? We tried cleaning it and checked all connections. Want to make sure we nail down the problem before purchasing a new flow meter.

   If you still have the manual for the unit there is a trouble shooting guide specific to the flow meter. We had to do this last spring and used to guide to pin point the flow meter problem. I have relocated to another position and do not have that manual available or I would pass it along directly. Good luck!

   On the end of the wheel are magnets, I've seen Iron buildup causing it to not read. They are recessed, so small knife is needed to clean them out. From what I remember, if you spin the wheel, the red light on top will flash signaling it works.

   Yes, iron in the product will foul the signal. But if you're not getting any signal, that is a bit odd.
   Check that the flowmeter spins freely and turns with precision. When spraying, the meter should generate a small AC voltage. Check at the meter wires and then at the controller. If you have AC at the back of the controller, then the controller will need to be sent in.

   Along with the above suggestions, if you go to Toro's website, click on manuals and parts books, enter your model and serial number, you can download operators manual and parts books.
   
   I have done that myself.
   
   It might give you some troubleshooting tips. Don't think service manuals are available that way though?

   Unfortunately they only list current models. However, I think the flowmeter on the 5700 is the same that is used on the 1200/1250. Attached is a screenshot of the cleaning procedure for that flowmeter.
