Do you have any pros or cons? I am demoing one today and it seems to have enough power and ability to climb, but there seems to be a lot of intricate parts. Let me state that I have been using Toro 3500's and like what I have but after 9 years it is time to replace them so looking at all options. Not sure about the belt driven deck as compared to the hydraulic driven cutting units of the 3500 or the other mowers I have looked at; John Deere 9009A, Toro 4500, Jac 522.
    Thanks for your input.

We demoed the ventrac last fall, you will want to stay with 3500's. The big deck on the ventrac did ok but will not follow contours and lifts, and stays lifted on severely contoured mounds. If you are relatively flat the ventrac will do ok. Demo, demo, demo. I am not a fan of all the belts on the deck , nor the electric clutch. Super was really leaning toward the ventrac for all the attachments that are available, until one starts adding up all the $$

If you are buying it for slope mowing. It is hands down the best mower besides the Steiner. The duel tires will also allow you to mow the grass when it is saturated. Does not dig up the turf. This also increases the amount of slope you can mow with it.

The belt drive is actually not that bad.

There are alot of parts to the machine. Preventative maintenance is key. Do not ham and egg the machine throughout the years. Make sure you get the newer models. I have heard the older models had some over-heating problems but I believe those problems have been resolved.
