We are in the process of building a new turf maintenance and storage building in India and would like to know what is the approximate daily consumption of water for washing equipment for and 18 hole golf course facility ? We have poor quality ground water and will need to install a filtration plant to remove salts, iron etc. from the water. Any help would be much appreciated, as we need to size the filtration plant.

I may be one of the few that sub-meters my equipment washwater. We use roughly 40,000 gallons/month for a 36 hole facility in Florida.

This is a temporary solution as a new recycling system will be installed when the new shop is built later this year.

Andy, Thanks much for your reply and the data is valuable to me : ) Although I have been living and working here in SE Asia for the past 25 years I keep a condo in Clearwater on Drew St. Would love to catch up with you next time I am in the area later on this summer. Ok by you ?

I will just split the total of your water usage in half here as we have 18 holes and it is a good number to start with.
