I have Workman 3300-D that will only go into reverse and neutral. Shifter feels mushy. I don't think any cables are broken. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

We have had the same problem.. On the shifting rod that goes into the transmission there is a tab that fits into a groove on the rod. This groove and tab will wear and let the rod (shaft) slide downward just enough to cause shifting issue.

We had one that would freeze when temps got below 20. We did a lot of big tree removal when turf was frozen and one of the cables would freeze.

We had the same issue with our Workman. There is a pin that runs left to right under the shift column that wears down and will get grooves in it, making it harder to shift. There are also 2 compression springs that can break, one above that allowing the shift lever to go from the cable running second and third gear to the cable that runs reverse and first gear. The second spring is directly below that pin.

They are cheap and easy to fix, but they are difficult to get to. We had to take the entire seat assembly off to get the shift lever unbolted from the frame.

If you pull the lever to the left or push down on it, it should return to its normal position. If it doesn't return, the problem is with one of those two springs.
