Curious if any techs is changing the aggressiveness of their fairway mower reels when they wear down. basically when they are on their last years worth of wear, before they have to be changed out.

Not here, but we also turn over our fwy mowers every 4 to 5 years so they don't get that worn down either.

If you are talking about the additude I have always found it difficult to keep the 3-4 degrees that I like. In the past when I've had reels at or beyond the minimum size it's been difficult to get one degree. That's always been on Toro units. Maybe diffDave Depperent cutting units have more adjustment. I generally get to rebuild fairway mower reels 4-5 times before buying a new mower so I keep them from 15-20 years. generally by the 5th year I am need of replacing the reels which means there's not enough meat on them to grind them or we've run out of adjustment space for the bedknife adjustment screws. I know that changes the attitude of the bedknife, just curious if anyone has made adjustments for it.
