Does anyone have any experience with Crystal Blue Links bent? We are considering using it in a fairway renovation. It has great NTEP trial results. Tee2Green is the breeder and were really pushing it at the golf show. Thanks in advance.

Not sure about this new variety but we planted one of the newer bents on fairways, Independence, a few years ago across the river at TPC Potomac and we are having to mow it much tighter than we expected just to keep it from getting to puffy. There is a lot more above ground plant material, three times as many leaves as say Pencross or Princeville, to deal with. If you have members and guests that like playing from tight fairway lies then it will work well. If not, then may want to consider another variety. Call Stephen Britton at Potomac and talk with him.
