I have been tasked to install a 30 foot flag pole on our course near the first tee. My question is, can I pull from the electric that powers my irrigation system without causing problems? I don't want fuses blowing in the irrigation controllers because the flag lighting is pulling power at night while the course is being watered as well. Or, do we go with something solar that will last throughout the night? As a veteran, seeing flags flying without lighting is disrespectful, and I don't want to be that person.

LED would be the way to go, very low power consumption. best of luck

The irrigation power should be adequate and I agree with the LED lighting (low voltage). You can use low voltage incandescent lighting as well but LED is the way to go.

Are there LED kits for flag poles that use solar power to charge the battery?

    Thanks!

Yes. We use them for signs throughout our community where power is not present.

This isn't what we use, but I have seen them on a few of our resident's poles. They work fairly well for the money.

Jenn, not sure what system you have Toro or Rainbird, but I would contact one of them. Steve Carpenter if Toro. Have them show you exactly how to do it. Then you could probably program the timer through the irrigation system, similar to a fan!!! I would recommend an electrician!

Thanks Jeremy, I am contacting George Skawski with Toro, he was away for the holidays and was not able to get me an answer when I started looking into it.
