I recently applied Anderson's 18-9-18DG @.75#N to our green's which was follow up with a 2.7inch rain two days later on USGA spec green's. This application was made one week before aerification. I am wondering how effective this application will be in terms of healing the holes. Anyone ever dealt with this situation?

I think it depends on the composition of the fertilizer. What was the nitrogen source? I think that nitrate is your biggest concern, as it's negatively charge. With two days for the solution to settle in the soil and be taken up by the plant, you're probably fine with any ammoniacal. I don't think 2.7" will hurt you too much, unless it all came down in an hour.

If it was slow release, your biggest concern probably needs to be the fertilizer moving on the surface into the low spots. But if it's DG, that probably doesn't need to be a concern.

    Rainfall had NO negative effect.
