I'm not trying to be a smart ass....well, maybe I am.
I'm not that bright, but I have noticed that the people who approach this job systematically and programmatically tend to be more successful than guys who are all over the map with their fertility and cultural programs. I really don't think that there is anything better than a simple NPK and minors program applied religiously in a regular program. I do not think that any of the designer fertilizers is any better than a simple nutrient program applied by someone who is paying attention and working on it regularly.
Superintendents are like fishermen...always looking for a magic lure and willing to pay big money for it. The only problem is that if the lure doesn't work, all you're out is your time and a little money, but if the magic fertilizer doesn't work, you wind up looking for a job in the fast food industry.
I wonder if guys who claim to see fantastic results when they switched brands of fertilizer are seeing the results of the product or seeing the results of paying closer attention and applying it as a program instead of jumping all around.
If this stuff works for you, I say stay with it, but I seriously doubt that you will see better results than with a basic fertility program applied as a regular program.
Regards,
Steve
