Just curious if anyone owns one of these bad boys and how they like it. I am in the market for a new truck which I will keep for most likely 10-15 more years. I see the 2014 models has a great looking special edition that will be ruby red..jpg[/attachment">

Ford has a redesign for the F-150 coming out late next summer for the 2015 model. They have already launched a concept truck that has a few of the new designs in place. Google "ford Atlas".

Yes I have seen the Atlas which is currently a concept truck. While it does look like it will become a part of the production line I was unable to find any positive proof that ford is going to completely adopt this design for the F-150. There are some things that look great about it and some not so great. there are several you tube videos on it which looks great.
I think it will be installed as a high end option to the F-150 much like the Raptor is..jpg[/attachment">

I saw a Raptor in the parking lot a while back. It is truly a Bad Boy with special interior finishing. Pricy but if one is keeping it for ten years not so bad.

My current truck is a 2005 f-150 4x4 King Ranch with only 37,500 miles on it but it has an 8" lift kit as well as 35" tires. This was one bad arse truck when we flooded during Isaac last year.
So why would I want to get rid of an 8 year old truck with only 37,500 miles on it. To be honest I love the truck but I started having left knee problems and getting out has been keeping it from healing fast enough, I cannot get my dogs to jum high enough to get into it and they weigh around 100lbs each, but the most important reason is that me and the wife have a deal where we each keep a vehicle 10 years and then we can get another new one alternating so we only have 1 car note at a time. It is more crucial for her to upgrade due to the extra miles she has on hers. I guess she will be somewhere around 160,000miles or more by the time she can get a new one. We elected to pay mine off early 5 years ago and upgraded her sooner then planned due to the prices on the market then.

SO I will keep this one at least 10 years possibly 15 this time. the truck I had before my King Ranch was another f-150 which I had for 14 years before I sold it to one of my crew who needed a dependable truck. Too bad someone did not see the red light he was sitting in front of when they totaled his truck out though.

I love all of the extras the Raptor comes with and from time to time I am forced to haul some heavy loads which the 6.2L V-8 would have no problem pulling.

You can not go wrong with the Ford Raptor. I would love to trade my 2004 F-150 Super-Crew FX4, but I am enjoying no payments on the truck. Even though it has 180K miles on it, it has been a solid truck with very little problems. I did blow up the transmission at 120K, but that was my fault for not doing the proper maintenance on the tranny. Plus it did not help towing equipment from Northern California to Southern California and from San Diego to Las Vegas from time to time.
