Would like to hear what other superintendents have for application rates and timing for primo applications from the start of the season until the end of the season for poa /bent greens.

    Thanks in advance,

I apply based on a 150 GDD model, base 0 Celsius. I use this page at The Weather Channel to track: http://adstest.climate.weather.com/outl ... egree-days

I apply at 6oz/A when I go out, year round. I start in March when I go out with Proxy and don't stop until the growth stops.

It does get crazy at times in the summer, as I'm applying every 7 days, but I never had any issues using this method.

    Steve,

I have used the 200 gdd model for the last couple of years. Really followed it to the letter last season and it worked so much better. (the first year I tracked, but didn't always get the next app of Primo down). I start here in the transition zone, (SW MO) the second week after my greens are aerated (we have aeration scheduled the first week of April), 3rd week of April is when it is scheduled for my first application. I wait that long only because of the many other applications we are making in that time frame. If I can get it out sooner I will.

If you had bacteria wilt/decline last year I would suggest not to use primo this year. This is my case. Im a huge fan of primo but last year there was alot of bacteria cases and there is a chance primo is related to it.
