Some of the comments from the parents of the 5 kids involved in sex with their high school gym teacher. While watching the verdict handed down last night on the news my wife posed the question, from a man's perspective if I thought I would have been depressed or scarred for life after having sex with a really hot teacher while in high school. After a moment to contemplate my reply............" only in hind sight after realizing she really wasn't that hot after all"

I think I became twisted for life because I had nuns from kindergarten through 8th grade. Can I sue or have all of them arrested? I guess these kids come from another generation. In my youth, the only way the teacher would have been busted would be if some kid was overheard by somebody. I would have just considered it going the extra mile to get a good grade! I guess this is the new form of being a teachers pet! Consider it an intense form of tutoring!

When children (and I'll use this term since our brains continue to develop into our twenties...some people their forties) are sexually abused it plants a skewed look on intimacy and relationship.
Sure, as a teenage boy it might be "cool" to sleep with a teacher but it sets him up for struggles with intimate relationships later in life.
Sex in a long term relationship, let's say...like marriage (we still do that, right?), needs to be tied to vulnerability/intimacy to be long lasting or you end up with, "I'm just not "in love" with you anymore". That's code talk for, "Dang, it's not "cool" to roll around in bed any more...WHAT HAPPENED?".
Anyway...I think I need to watch more NASCAR.

My high school was a 9-iron from the beach in Daytona. My chemistry teacher and the person who handmade my first surfboard is now the owner of Hawaiian Tropic. Sex with the teachers in my high school was a given.

Well done! My opinion of NASCAR fans just increased 100%.

In all seriousness, having had nuns from kindergarten through grade eight, I would have been more than psychologically scarred for life had a nun made a move on me. I think all but my kindergarten teacher were at least 100 years old and scary looking. Nothing worse than an old angry penguin! Since I was never an altar boy, I was never approached by any twisted priests during grade school. In high school, the priests I had bordered on part drill instructor and part suspected mass murderer. I think Augustinians were just as crazy as stories I heard about Jesuits! Never any stories about funny priests at my high school but I always suspected one was a little odd.
