For the first time in my professional career, I am unemployed. I was the third rep in about 5 years to be let go so I guess I should not be too surprised. For those of you that have been through this, you have my deepest sympathies. It is incredibly difficult to accept. I am well aware of the challenges in this industry, I've witnessed them nationwide over the last two years.

One of the benefits that I have is that I am very mobile. My children are grown and for the most part out of the house so I am open to relocation to just about anywhere in the country. I would appreciate any assistance the forum family might be able to provide.

Best wishes to you and your families this holiday weekend.

I have been unemployed twice, each time I was released from commercial positions and was employed again in three months. In Florida there are a number of valuable programs for the unemployed of which I took full advantage. These were very challenging times for me. I wish you the best.

    Kerry,

I feel your pain and been through the battle! Having suffered epilepsy and lost my superintendent position due to it, then having brain surgery to remove the left temporal lobe, lucky for me to stop my seizures and return me to normality! I now a year and a half plus later working again! Now an Assistant Superintendent loving my job doing what I do best as a team member, helping getting the job done everyday! My new life here in the windy city is wonderful, my love of what I do is "Joy to the World"! Never give up you can find people who will believe in you and what you can do for them! I too earned certification, built 4 new golf courses, rebuilt an older one, hosted the Senior tour and a USGA event. I am happy to bring my skills, experience and love for the game to my new home! Never give up on what you love, as the one who is willing to work with you will be the winner! It took me awhile to find the one who was willing to fit me into his crew, many were scared of my experience, now they are the winners (as am I)!
