We are looking to replace a couple of hydraulic cylinders on one of our Ransome G-Plex II , last January we replaced the center cylinder (part # old 893495) with 4183641 for $466.28. We are looking for other options on our front cylinders (part number 894083).

Unit is model # 898864 serial number 00005421

    Thanks!

Why not look up in your area a hydraulic repair facility. We had a guy in Michigan call Quality Cylinders and he rebuilt from the smallest to the largest cylinders you'll find. A much less expensive way to go, while getting the cylinders reconditioned like new. Otherwise I've matched up cylinders from Northern Tool and some other companies that sell cylinders.

    Regards,

Ditto. Our hydraulic shop can rebuild a cylinder for as low as $30. I think the largest one, on our JD 310 backhoe was like $130. Even when we've had to replace one, they've gotten them for a fraction of the cost of our OEM dealer.

    Thanks for the ideas,

I will see if I can find a place in town to do that, we do have a hydraulic hose place that builds new hoses for us, don't know why our mechanic doesn't try this.
