Hi, Anyone have any tips on how to soup up a Carryall? The batteries read 3 at 7.9 volts and 3 at 8.1 after charging but it crawls up hills at the best of times. Is there a delivery system ( drive motor )that can be replaced?

HELP Thanks Michael I am trying to buy a few second hand buggies for crew this week. My Yamaha Sun Classic is hitting the scrap heap, it has been a good ride for 5 years.

If you can put a voltmeter on the batteries "while" you drive uphill and see how the voltage drops. I doubt you have a 48v discharge tester, but that would be the correct way to diagnose them. My guess is the any number of the batteries are going bad.

Try load testing all the batterys if u can.Your local battery guy usually has good equipment for this. Recall Having a similar problem and one weak battery was causing it. The battery guy talked me into a new set!

I would consider looking at the EZ Go line of turf maintenance vehicles.. They have a 72 Volt A.C. drive( different than the DC Club Car).. These vehicles can go 50 miles around the course.. I was skeptical at first to recommend in a maintenance operation but I have since become a supporter.

Hi, Enjoy conference, cannot make it this year, too many other trips.

I took off enclosure from the trailer and came to find it has a Curtis PMC Motor Controller model 1204-412.

I found its manual online and will do some diagnosis as it and Keith suggest to see what part is failing.

    Thanks for input Michael

Your batteries are toast. 7.9 volts is only 40 per cent charged and 8 .1 is 50 percent. Buy new batteries
