I have to use effluent water on my course. Has to be treated with chlorine to land apply. I currently use an LMI metering pump but usually have to replace fittings once or twice a season. Does anyone out there have any better pump options?

    Are you using stainless fittings?

Question: why are you having to inject the chlorine? Just curious, as I know our guys have to be wastewater certified and send samples, do reporting, etc....before the water leaves the plant in order for it to be public access reuse. It also has to be in contact with chlorine for a minimum number of hours before being considered a such.

Yes we use stainless fittings where we can. Most of the failure is in fittings on the liquid end of the LMI pump. To answer question, we have a holding pond that the park pumps their effluent water in from various camp grounds and lodge. The water is then mixed with water from a lake. That water is then pumped out onto the course. It has to have a residual of .02 ppm at the farthest end point. We have to be certified and do all the testing as well. We even have restrictions on when we can water and allow access. It's a pain, but only water access I have. Just looking for other pump options or solutions.
