Selling used equipment Cancel The title field is required!

   Do any of the Equipment Managers out there actively sell their used equipment? If so are you compensated for that or are you just expected to do it.

   I'm not sure what one would do above and beyond their job duty to require additional compensation. Take care of anything during work hours and that is that.
   
   That said we are a Park District course and are not allowed to trade in equipment, we are to get a disposal ordinance and sell via auction or send to scrap (whichever will net more). We have been using Obenhauf Auctions and have had pretty good luck.

   Yes I actively sell used equipment. There is a person that buys turf equipment in the area, other mechanics and friends have bought pieces for projects, and we like to leverage used equipment on trades with our vendors.
   
   My advice is don't ask too much and remember in part it's doing you a favor to clear out space when used equipment leaves your shop.
